Other News

Its been pretty busy in the Belcher house the last couple of weeks. I'm back studying to try and finish my Commerce degree and so far things are going pretty well and I've been blessed to have Solomon's Aunty Leanne look after him every so often so I can get some work done. He's a real little trooper. He's been going to music class on Wednesday mornings & he bops away to the music, although the kids songs are a little daggy. He prefers listening to triple J and head banging. Solly has some new tricks including pulling himself up in the bath so he stands and looks over the edge, although he often slides back into the water. He loves reading novels. He's got a whole stack of kids books but he prefers the thin pages of adult books and magazines. And he loves to throw balls. If I give one to him he'll throw it about two metres away, I'll roll it back and he'll throw it again. Its a great game.
The weather has gotten a lot fresher here over the last week so I've been trying to get Solomon's wardrobe sorted out to make sure we have enough winter gear. We will have to do some shopping soon because the nights are freezing.
And in other news, it looks like we will be heading back to the USA in June/July for a couple of weeks to visit the Grandparents, Uncle & Aunties. I'll keep you posted with all the other goss.

The Beach

Last weekend the Belcher Family (Phil, Gill & Solomon) went to the beach and stayed at the Kirk house with the Kirks. It was really relaxing and beautiful weather...although it was a little hot at night.
But the highlight of the trip was the fact that Solomon went into the ocean without any tears, although it did take some time. It has taken all summer to get him into the ocean and by the afternoon Solomon was riding the waves like a pro...well the waves were only knee high and he had to be held. But that is beside the point. He still had a great time in the water.
Solomon is getting a new tooth at the moment. This will make four. But he is quite a sad little one, and is really sensitive about anyone touching him. So the last couple of days he has been getting lots of cuddles, which I just love because he is just so cuddly!
