Grandad USA & other visitors

Well, the last few weeks have been pretty flat out with visitors. We had Louise and her family come and visit from Adelaide, Reg from Perth and my uncle Nick and his family from Queensland. Nick, Rebecca and their three kids stayed two nights on the way to the snow. They were already complaining about the cold in Canberra, but it only got colder in the mountains. It was great to see some of the Queensland folk and introduce them to Solly, although, poor Rebecca had to get Solomon up one night because we forgot to turn the baby monitor on...Woops!
But the highlight of the last few weeks was the visit of Grandad USA, my Dad. He came for my brother Sam's 21st Birthday, yesterday and he came with many gifts for us all including golf clubs and a laptop computer. It was a quick trip of only 4 nights and his trip home was a long one of 28 hours. We dropped him off this morning. Solly was so excited to see him and I'm pretty sure that Grandad was happy to see him too. We are looking forward to Grandad and the rest of the USA clan coming home in November once again baring gifts ;).
So, the house is now quiet and we can get on with our very busy social calender. I've joined the gym, so I'm there a bit and on Wednesdays we have our New Parents Group, which is a great opportunity to get to know other Mums with babies the same age as Solomon. There is even one little one born on the same day!
That is life up until now. Will let you know if there is any other goss soon.
