Queensland Trip & Mullins Family Visit

Gees, what a whirlwind the last 2.5 weeks have been!!! The Mullins Family Washington has now departed taking Sam with them, so life has suddenly become a lot slower. I'm not sure what to do with myself.
It was great having the family around although it was very intense, particularly since the family gave Solomon their undivided attention for the past two weeks. And Solomon loved it! He would smile and get really excited every time one of the clan waked into the room, as they would go and play with him. He is probably feeing a little neglected about now.
So we went to the land of Sun and Surf and Solomon went swimming in the surf. By the end of the week at the Gold Coast he was warming towards the surf, enjoyed bathing in the small pools formed in the sand and loved the swimming pool that was at the apartments. Grandad and Granma USA were fantastic taking Solomon out and about, particularly as I was quite ill for a couple of days.
We had a lovely time relaxing at the coast and spending time with family in Maroochydore and Brisbane. We even had a photo with the FIVE, yes FIVE generations including: Great Great Granma Hogan (97), Special (Great) Granma Mullins (71), Grandad USA Mullins (45), Me (Mum Belcher) (23) and Solomon (7 months).
Phil also came up for the weekend, which was also our 2nd wedding anniversary. So we went out for dinner in Maloolaba and went for lunch at Southbank in Brisbane and shopped for the afternoon.
It was great. Solomon travelled really well and as I said before life is pretty boring now trying to get back into normal routine.
Last night we went to the Movember Gala Party, which was great fun. Although it was a bit wierd all the men checking out other men! I've got some pics of that too.
I guess that is all. I'll try and get some more snaps for you to have a look at.
Enjoy. Gill

  • Poor Gill, I'm sure you'll find something to do. Life is still a whirlwind for us. Had to hit the ground running; going back to work and school after sleeping in accidentally, losing luggage and a purse (both since returned) along the way and trying to stay focussed when spoken to.

  • And I forgot to mention, we had a high of 21c today - very warm weather, amazing for this time of year.
