Solomon's First Christmas & Camping
Since last time I've blogged life has been pretty busy. I did all my Christmas shopping pretty early because I can not stand going into busy shopping centres. But it was also good as I could spend more time doing other things, such as making Solomon his Santa sack, where every year I'm going to get him to put his hand print on it.
Christmas day was pretty good too. We spent most of the day at Phil's parents house, where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was a pretty relaxing day and Solomon got some great stuff. Santa brought him a Raiders Jersey and shorts, a Quicksilver hoody beach towel and some bath toys.
Solomon on Christmas morning after Santa had visited.
On Boxing Day Phil, Solomon and I headed to Racecourse Beach on the South Coast to go camping in tents for 8 nights. The first night was just us and the next day some of the boys Phil went to school with and thier girlfriends joined us. We had a really great week with Solomon obtaining 3 new Dads, as the boys decided they wanted to be his dad too. New Years Eve went off with the fireworks at the beach although there were a few headaches the next morning. The ocean was freezing cold so we didn't go in very often but luckily the park where we stayed had a pool, so Solly had a couple of dips in there.
It was unbelievable how well behaved Solomon was. He slept like an angel and was loved by everyone who was shocked how placid he was, except for the last night we were there (2nd January) he woke up at 4am because he got his FIRST TOOTH (bottom left)!!!
We had a drama on the day before we were supposed to leave as the caravan park double booked for our last night and we got an abusive phonecall at 1pm saying we had to be out within the next 40 minutes as there were people waiting to use our site. After a quick pack up we decided not to go home a night early, so instead we went and stayed with Phils sister further down the coast.
We got back on the 3rd January at about lunchtime, did 8 loads of washing and then the next morning at 6am we travelled to Sydney so Phil and some of the boys he went to school with could go and watch day 3 of the Ashes test match. We got there with a little bit of a hassle and then we split with the boys as they headed to the SCG and the girlfriends, Solomon and I spent the next 7 hours shopping in Sydney city. We has such a great day. Once again Solomon did really well. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful, easy going baby!
